Deep Into Blue Holes

Unwin Hymon, 1989, 164 pages, hardback, £14.95.

A very nicely produced book chronicaling some of the early Bahamian Blue Hole explorations by George Benjamin and leading on to the series of explorations by Rob Palmer et al. The book culminates in the Andros Project where very deep dives were attempted.

Yorkshire's Hollow Mountains

W R Mitchell
Castleberg, 1989, 48 pages, paperback, £3.00.

A reprint of the most sought after 1961 publication which was itself compiled from a series of newspaper articles in the Craven Herald and Pioneer. A very readable and well illustrated brief history of cave exploration in Yorkshire.
