Godre Pentre updates from Chris

Godre Pentre wasn’t used as much as the previous year, possibly as result of the numerous roadworks making access tedious on many occasions.

Some improvements have been carried out: the upstairs back window has been replaced with a new double glazed unit (thanks to Ian Catterole for that) and another radiator has been fitted so that it is noticeably warmer when the heating is on, also part of the kitchen has been clad with marble finish thanks to Eric Downer.

We did decide to buy a 3m flat-pack container to store the gear in. However, delivery is an issue as they want a least a 14 day window with 2 people on site to unload! Any volunteers?!

During the summer, it was apparent that GP had been used although no one had signed in or had booked through me so we are going to change the door code for 2025. I will send out the new code to members by e-mail. It is likely to be the same format, possibly a ‘beastly’ number! The emergency key should still be in the same place. Also please sign in the log sheets even if it is just a day visit.

Items wanted:
  • Microwave oven, small with 2 knobs
  • Small induction pans (i.e. a magnet sticks)
