Welcome to the 100th issue of Pelobates
Welcome to the 100th issue of Pelobates. To celebrate, we have dug through the
archive and included a few articles from the magazine’s history – perhaps this should become
a regular feature in the future.
We start this issue on a sombre note: mourning the loss of long-time club member Martin Hatton.
He is remembered by Allan Ockenden and Graham Bessant. Rest in Peace.
I have not been to many meets this year but judging by the traffic on the mailing list and in the WhatsApp
group, there has been a lot of activity in the club which is great to see. We have photos from trips
to Wales and Yorkshire, an article and survey from a trip to Matienzo, some AI-generated poems and
some cottage news.
I hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as I have enjoyed putting it together and if you are inspired to
write something for the next issue, please do!
