Editorial

Well, it's been a long time coming, but here it is at last. I hope you find plenty of interest here. The second part of Martin Hatton's epic work on the history of Reigate Stone forms the bulk of this issue and full publication of this has been long overdue. I'm happy to put this right at last. What is probably lacking from this issue is much about current caving activity. Despite mutterings in some quarters that nobody is actually doing much caving any more, I'm not sure that this is altogether true. There is almost certainly plenty going on and all we need is for someone to report it. If you have never written anything for Pelobates before it would be great to hear from you. The Club magazine has always been an eclectic mix, ranging from the scholarly to the downright silly - let us please have more!

I hope you find the current issue an enjoyable read; perhaps you will be inspired to write something for the next one.
